Learning to live with Epilepsy

Although he was diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of ten, Liam Burke considers himself to be one of the luckier ones when it comes to this neurological disease characterised by seizures.

The Millstreet-based civil engineer, who is now 43, is grateful to be in full time employment and says his epilepsy is “infrequent at the moment and generally has been throughout my life”.

Death Notice: Eileen Murphy, Cullen, Knocknagree, & Tanyard Wood

The death has occurred on February 2nd 2017 in the tender care of the staff of Mallow General Hospital of EILEEN MURPHY (née O’Leary), Tanyard Wood Millstreet, late of Glounthane Cullen, and Lowlands, Knocknagree. Eileen(nee O’Leary) mother of the late Michael, deeply regretted by her family, husband Brendan, sons Denis (Tullig), John, Brendan, daughter Helen, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, sister, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing in Tarrant’s Funeral Home, Millstreet on Friday evening from 6.30pm followed by removal at 8pm to the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cullen. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 12 noon. Burial afterwards to Knocknagree Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to Kerry Parents and Friends.
