Eily’s Report – 2nd May

Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a cairde and welcome to my weekly Report.

The first day of May dawned like no other in recent years, with the warm sunshine breathing new life into the whole place.

Our Active Retired Group marked the special occasion by conducting a prayer service at Tubrid Well at 11 o’clock am. Consisting of the recitation of the Holy Rosary and singing of many well known hymns. A fine crowd attended.

Some people remembered to  engage in the age old custom of blessing  their places on May Eve with Holy Water.

To  start off the Féile na Bealtainne program a gala Tea Dance at the Wallis Arms Hotel on next Sunday afternoon May 7th from 2.30 to 5.30. Music by the popular Peter Lane and all are welcome. A great evening is assured.
