Let’s have look back at this day twenty four years ago, May 15th 1993, and we’ll never forget the XXXVIII Edition of the Eurovision Song Contest which took part in the Green Glens Arena, Millstreet. Aubane Cross Monument Upgrades

John F Kelleher of Aubane Social Club has informed us of upgrades that have been completed to the Monument at Aubane Cross,new Plants have been added as has new state of the Art lighting which looks very impressive by night,check out the Photos below,also tonight Monday May 15th is the Final Night of Set Dancing in Aubane Community Centre and performing there Tonight is the Donie Nolan Ceili Band,Kick Off is at 9.15,Dancing will resume on Monday Nights in Mid September.

Death Notice: Hugh V Kelleher, Rosnalee Lodge

Kelleher (Kanturk), on May 14th 2017, peacefully at Cork University Hospital, Hugh V., Woodview, Gurteen and formerly of Rosnalee Lodge, (late of Munster Cattle Breeding). Beloved husband of Nuala (nee O’Hanlon) and dear father of Kenneth and Adrian. Deeply regretted by his loving wife, sons, sisters Sr Anna Maria (Australia) and Rebecca (Desmond), brothers Henry and Denis, daughter-in-law Sara, sisters-in-law Carmel and Sheila, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at McCarthy’s Funeral Home, Banteer. Rosary on this Monday evening at 9pm. Reposing on tomorrow, Tuesday from 6.30pm followed by removal at 8pm to St John’s Church, Dromagh. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to St John’s Cemetery, Glantane. May he Rest in Peace.

Dromtarriffe ladies football are holding our major  fundraising evening

on Wednesday May 24th

from 6.30pm to 9pm.

Annual Clothes collection and coffee evening.

All unwanted clothes, shoes,bed linen, mobile phones, laptops and books (no duvet,pillows or school books).

This is an important fundraiser for the club.

Thanks for supporting the Language and Culture Night

A word of thanks to all those who came along to support the Language and Culture Night that was held in Millstreet Community School on Friday 12th May 2017.  Fourteen nationalities from three continents were represented! Thanks also to those who prepared food for the evening.  It was a night for celebrating cultural diversity which will be remembered for a long time.
