Millstreet Welcomes American Visitors Who Have Local Connections

At the home of Mary Fahy (nee Forde) in Murphy’s Terrace, Millstreet we extend a heartfelt welcome to Patricia from Dayton, Ohio, USA who has Dennehy roots in Kilmeedy and O’Leary roots in Adrivale. Pat was accompanied by her husband and by Friends, Diane and Fred. All enjoyed a wonderful musical interlude with the Cronin Family of Laught at Mary’s very welcoming home. Pictured at the Wallis Arms Hotel on Sunday night splendid American visitors with their McSweeney Family connections. Most of the guests are from Boston while one (Donny) is from South Carolina. The Irish connection springs from the Daly sisters of Lomanaugh (near Boherbue). From left: Donny, Sally, Nora Dennehy, Michael, Nuala and Sarah McSweeney, Blair, Lisa and Kathleen. The Visitors are also scheduled to visit Tallow, Co. Waterford where we hope they will have a wicked (!) enjoyable time! The only two places of which we are aware that use the word “wicked” meaning “very” seem to be Co. Waterford …. and Boston!
