“In The Light of Other Days” by Margaret O’Donoghue Sullivan – Splendid Autobiography

“In The Light of Other Days” by Margaret O’Donoghue Sullivan

“In the Light of Other Days” is an autobiography from Margaret O’Donoghue Sullivan and documents her childhood growing up in rural Ireland.

Margaret lived on a farm with her parents and siblings and the love and importance of family was at the heart of this. The book contains fondly recalled events and stories during the author’s childhood as well as detailing the changing face of farming during the industrialisation of Ireland and of Ireland’s rich history, infused with evocative poetry.

The book is available in Wordsworth Millstreet, Easons bookshop Killarney, Eagers bookshop Killarney, Amazon. It’s a great read for adults and also for children.

We thank Margaret of Rathduane for presenting a copy of her splendid recently published book to Millstreet Museum.  It was the very well known Tom McSweeney who recently launched the Book in Killarney.  Click on the images to enlarge. (S.R.)
