Launch of Millstreet Vintage Club Vintage and Family Fun Day in Millstreet Town Park

Millstreet Vintage Club held a Launch of there upcoming Vintage and Family Fun Day last Saturday in Millstreet Town Park to release and outline details of the Event which will take place on Sunday August 27th in the Town Park in Millstreet,the Event is in Aid of the Cancer Connect Service which is a Free and Flexible Transport Service to Cork Hospitals for Cancer Treatment,this Project is supported by Local Link Cork and the Services are free, flexible, and confidential. The Event is a Vintage and Family Fun Day with all types of Vintage, Classic and Modified Cars, Tractors, Bikes, Trucks and Stationary Machines most welcome on the Day, also for the Kids there will Bouncing Castles, Face Painting,Games etc with Music by Back on Track, also Trade and Craft Stands, Home Baking and the ever popular Tractor Build with the Broomhil Club from Coachford, and much more, Millstreet Pipe Band will also be in attendance at the Event, for more details you can contact Mike at 087 2929430 or Bernard on 087 7924406.

As a chef and chef-instructor, and working the top kitchens in New England and New York, Trevis Gleason’s career was enjoying a meteoric rise. But all of that came to a sudden halt when he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in April of 2001. Coupled with the shock, there was also a snowballing effect, when his marriage ended, he lost his job and even his perceived persona.

Putting his life on hold, he moved to West Kerry to fulfil a long postponed dream. Adamant that he lives rather than suffers from MS, he has since moved to a bigger stage. Trevis Gleason is now a leading voice for people with MS. His Blog ‘Trevis S Gleason’s life with MS’, is one of the longest running, most widely read and respected on the topic.
