Eily’s Report – 19th December

Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a cairde and welcome to my report. First of all I want to apologise for my absence last week. I was among the many victims of the latest bout of flu and chest infection and  was left lying low for the week. But since I feel better now,  I’m a living proof that it’s not a killer desease, and it’s curable.

In the past week there has been a flurry of activities which I had to refrain from. Sadly  I missed the wonderful Christmas Concert given by the Duhallow Choral Society  in our Church in aid of our local hospital and there were lots more. But the drive is still on to make the world a better place for more people at Christmas time. No words of mine can do justice to the amount of effort that is put in by kind people at this time of year. And their work goes on right up to the last minute on Christmas Eve.

All around the parish national Schools have been staging their annual Christmas Plays ,with little children pouring their  hearts into the greatest story ever told.
