A big congrats to Chloe Collins who was togged out for the first time for Cork Senior Ladies Footballers as they eased past Kerry 2-17 to 0-9 in Knocknagoshel on Sunday.
Chloé plays her football with Dromtarriffe Ladies, and is no stranger to the Cork geansaí, having played football and camogie with the Cork underage teams all the way up. The very best to her as she continues to break into the Cork setup. [read more …] “Chloé Called up to Cork Seniors”

Eily’s Report – 30th January
Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a cairde and welcome to my weekly report.
There is a great uplifting air about the place in spite of the weather this week. The Millstreet Got Talent Contest was an outstanding success.
Since the heats began last December there has been widespread speculation, with the results of each one, building up excitement to the grand finale which went ahead at the Wallis Arms Hotel last Friday Night. The finalists performed to a full house and the results were deemed fair to all.
The lingering of flu epidemic took it’s toll on one popular finalist and indeed upon myself. And I was very sorry that I missed it. But while licking my wounds I couldn’t help having a happy feeling about it all. Happy in my own way that it went ahead without me. And that, after over forty years, I was able to sit back and leave it all to a group of fine young people who are willing to put their shoulder to the wheel, with the help of course of a number of the old reliables.
The Class of ’66
“… I just saw the item about John C. Casey on your website and I remember him from the class of ’66. I have this photo which is not in good condition but might be of interest to some. That is me on the left in the back row. It would be interesting if some of your viewers could put names all the others. Best wishes to to all in Millstreet …” – Andy O’Connor
