Splendid Musical Presentation in Boherbue by Tim Murphy

Tim Murphy presented a superb programme of music and song at “The Music Room” in Boherbue on Thursday, 5th April 2018.   To mark the season one of Tim’s excellent tracks was “Easter Parade” with Judy Garland and Fred Astaire.  Here we share some images from the very enjoyable occasion which was attended by many people despite the very wet weather.  Millstreet Gramophone Circle’s next presentation is by Ivor Horton on Friday, 20th April 2018.  (S.R.) Chloé to Start for Cork Ladies Tomorrow

 

The very best of luck to Chloé Collins who is starts tomorrow for Cork Senior Ladies Footballers, for the first time. I’m sure she won’t mind the long trip to Letterkenny where she starts at #13.

Colm Presents a Copy of His Most Recent Publication “Between the Ears”

We thank Colm O’Connor,  (son of the late Eddie and Mary O’Connor) formerly of Drishane Road, Millstreet and now a resident of Rotterdam for the past 35 years – for very kindly presenting a copy of his latest publication “Between the Ears” to Millstreet Museum.   This uplifting comic Irish fiction novel describes strange goings-on in sleepy Ballyloo!  Colm is blessed with a magnificent sense of humour and a wonderful turn of phrase.   We wish Colm every success with his present novel and future publications.   The novel is scheduled to be launched in June 2018 and will be available through many outlets including Amazon.  Click on the images below to enlarge.  (S.R.)

Fr. James Records Arrival of Silage Bales This Morning

We thank Fr. James McSweeney for sharing some 7 splendid images of the arrival of Silage Bales at Dairygold, Millstreet this morning to help relieve the present Silage Situation.  Minister Michael Creed was present as was Dairygold CEO, Jim Woulfe.   Paul Byrne and Cameraman filmed a TV3 Report most likely for TV3 News coverage this evening (Yes it was on the 5:30 TV3 News – see the details and photos below).
