Supreme Champions All on Friday in Newmarket

Sincere congratulations to the Sporting Champions of Scoil Mhuire, Millstreet B.N.S. and of Presentation N.S. who were both victorious in their Finals in Newmarket.   Scoil Mhuire BNS in the Duhallow Schools Hurling – Millstreet 3 goals 9 points to Ballyhass 3 goals 5 points.   Presentation N.S. in the Duhallow Schools Camogie A – Millstreet 5 goals 4 points to Rathcoole 5 goals 0 points.  All the Finals took place in Newmarket on Friday, 8th June 2018.   Here we share a selection of images taken when the wonderful Teams with their Teachers and Trainers arrived back in Millstreet.  Click on the pictures to enlarge.  (S.R.) Celina Shares a Wonderfully Interesting Update on her Volunteering Work in India

We thank the wonderfully inspiring Celina O’Mahony who is presently on superbly praiseworthy volunteering work in India, for the very interesting update below and for also sharing an excellent short video of the location and of her work in education there.  You will recall some months past of the uplifting generous response there was to Celina’s (and her Team) fundraising projects especially in the Millstreet area. Hope all is well in Sráid an Mhuilinn?! I have successfully completed the 1st part of my volunteering so I thought it best to send an update back.

I arrived into Delhi at about 3.40AM and was escorted to very basic accommodation in the centre, it was a total culture shock and a whole new world. I was here for about 2 days and then got a 14hour sleeper train to Pathankot in Himachal Pradesh and then about a 4hr car ride to the Idex volunteering house in Bundla, Palampur, I stayed here for the duration of the project, when I arrived there was an older lady, Barbara from Wicklow, just finishing a woman empowerment project then I was on my own until the last week when a travelling group and another volunteer arrived.
