Death Notice: Sr. Helen Keane

Keane (Cork and late of Ballylongford, Co. Kerry): On June 11, 2018, peacefully, at St. Joseph’s, Model Farm Road, Sr. HELEN (Sisters of the Infant Jesus, Drishane), dearly beloved sister of Brenda and Noel. Deeply mourned by her sister, brother, sister-in-law Carmel, extended family, her Religious Community, neighbours and many friends.

Reception prayers on Wednesday at 5pm in Church of the Holy Spirit, Dennehy’s Cross. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 11am. Funeral afterwards to the Convent Plot, Drishane Cemetery, Millstreet. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dilis. [1] [2]

Eily’s Report – 12th June

Dia is Mhuire díobh go léir a Chairde and welcome to my Report.

The fine weather continues and the effects can be seen in the faces of people as they lap up the warm sunshine. Fine weather can mean different things to different people. Some love to sunbathe, others love it to dry the washing and to be able to send the little ones to play in the out-of-doors. Those who engaged in outdoor work, builders, farmers, agricultural contractors and so on. And one little lady put it in a nutshell for me this week when she said with pride, ’my turf is nearly dry’. That’s what the fine weather meant to her.
