Two Rare Sights at Millstreet Town Park!

Matthew Dennehy of Millstreet GAA displays the final score between Cork and Kerry at the Final of the Humphrey Kelleher Football Championship on Sat. 7th July 2018 in Millstreet Town Park. A rather rare scoreline! Click on the images to enlarge. (S.R.)
Our second very rare sight at Millstreet Town Park on Sat. 7th July 2018 is demonstrated here by Evan and Liam. Because of the extreme dry weather conditions the original driveway to the former Coomlogane House of the McCarthy-O’Leary Family is presently visible within the Pitch & Putt Course….near Green No. 2. The print of the driveway only becomes visible during very warm Summers.

“Where the Road Takes Me” This Sunday at 7pm on C103

We thank Presenter, John Greene, for the following advance information regarding his radio programme this Sunday evening.  (S.R.)

On this week’s edition of ‘Where the road takes me’ we look back at the life
and musical journey of Pat Lynch, one of Cork’s greatest showband stars, who passed away in January last.

Known in his teens as ‘Cork’s Fred Astaire’, Pat Lynch was born in Bantry,
but grew up in Blackpool in Cork – a member of a very gifted musical family.

Becoming lead singer with the ‘Airchords Showband’, Pat Lynch had a number one hit records in the Irish and Polish charts.

Remembering Pat Lynch – this Sunday evening on “Where the road takes me”.
Join John Greene at 7 on C103.
