Eily’s Report – 31st October
Dia is Mhuire díobh go léir a chairde and welcome to my report.
The last Bank Holiday of the year passed off in great glee with the lovely weather and a countless number of both, indoor and outdoor pursuits there to be enjoyed by the young and the not so young, and to crown it all, the clocks went back an hour, thus adding another precious sixty minutes to the fun. The air was crisp and chilly giving it an almost Christmassy feeling.
We had the Pony Owners Show at the Green Glens Arena for three days and Halloween parties were held at different venues, each with the view of raising lots of funds for different good causes, as well as hours of enjoyment for all those who supported them.Other events like football matches, stag parties, and even a wedding were also crammed into the Bank Holiday weekend.
