Magical Christmas Spirit 2018 in Millstreet

The true spirit of Christmas is in evidence throughout Millstreet Town with the official turning on of the Christmas Lights at The Square on Friday evening (7th Dec. 2018) revealing a magnificent festive creation, the Christmas Jumper GAA Run in aid of Irish Cancer Society on Saturday and people adding Christmas magic to shop windows with outdoor Christmas Trees further enhancing the atmosphere.  This year our Christmas Tree is located near the Corner by the original Tom Radley’s Forge.  Here we share a variety of images illustrating that wonderful Christmas Spirit.  Click on the images to enlarge.  (S.R.) AGM 2018 of Drishane Region Project

The AGM of Drishane Region Project took place this Monday evening (10th Dec. 2018) at Millstreet Day Care Centre.  Over twenty dedicated people work in various projects in the Millstreet area including Millstreet Day Care Centre itself, GAA Community Hall, Town Park, Pitch & Putt, Gym, Astroturf and Millstreet Museum to mention but some of the work locations.   Here we share an image of some of the Coordinating Committee of the overall Project.  Click on the image to enlarge.  (S.R.)

Christmas Jumper Run Thank You

The Irish Cancer Society wishes to thank everyone who supported the Christmas jumper run last Saturday. It was  great turnout with over €600 raised.
A special thanks to the Duggan family who allowed access to Drishane Estate, a beautiful place and to Milltech, Aroma Cafe, Tom Corbett – TMC photography,  and all the stewards.

Millstreet Vintage Club Celebrates Christmas 2018

Assembling at Corkery’s Bar, West End, Millstreet on the evening of Saturday, 8th Dec. 2018 members of Millstreet Vintage Club enjoyed a very pleasant evening of chat and refreshments and reflecting on a most successful year during which the Club presented a number of substantial cheques to various praiseworthy causes.  In fact a further cheque is scheduled to be presented to C.A.R.T.
