Lots of variety tonight on “Radio Treasures” on Cork Music Station … At 10pm we repeat (by popular request) highlights of the New Year Celebrations at The Square, Millstreet. Our main focus tonight is of course recalling the life of Elvis Presley who would have been 84 years old today had he lived longer. We hear many of the most popular of the songs of Elvis. We share his birthday date with many local people…Elvis celebrated his 16th Birthday on the day I was born in 1951! David Bowie would have been 72 today. Dame Shirley Bassey (singer supreme) was born on this day in 1937 (82 today). Another famous person born on this day – Stephen Hawking in 1942. Feel welcome to contact the programme on Facebook.
