Pitch & Putt Practice Session

Beginners and newcomers are most welcome to attend the practice session on tomorrow evening (Tuesday 28th May)at 6pm on the Pitch and Putt course where members of the committee will be available to take small groups to demonstrate the technique of the game and the etiquette that goes with it before competitions start in the coming weeks.

Next “Radio Treasures” Broadcast on Tuesday 4th June at 10pm

Our next “Radio Treasures” broadcast will be on Tuesday, 4th June 2019 at 10pm.  Please note later starting time due to Mass in Tubrid for Examination Students and Friends.  This will be a special transmission relating to the recent launch in Cork of the Electric Recording Edition of the John McCormack 16 CD Delux Box Set which includes a brief interview with the grandson of the world famous singer and also features the voice of John himself from a radio broadcast.   All this on www.corkmusicstation.com.  (S.R.)

Second Stage of Cork Co. Council Litter Challenge Begins

Week 4 and today (Monday, 27th May 2019) the second stage of Cork County Council litter challenge begins, finishing on June 5th. Does anyone feel that the Sunday collection of cigarette butts is getting smaller? Is the message getting out there? Please, all litter and cigarette butts, belong in the bin, not on our pavements/ streets/approach roads. Also, dog owners are required by law, to pick up your dogs mess and bin it too, it is considered to be litter and there is a fine if caught not doing so.
