Volunteers needed for the Party in the Park

Millstreet Events are seeking volunteers to help out during the

“Party in the Park” event

on Saturday, 27th July.

We would appreciate assistance for approx 2-3 hours between the hours of 11am and 8pm.

Duties to include stewarding, crowd information and assisting committee members. Your voluntary efforts are crucial in the smooth running of this event.

Next event meeting will take place in McCarthy’s pub at 7pm on Monday, 15th July.

We invite interested volunteers to attend this meeting.

Celebrating Twenty Wonderful Years of Pomeroy’s Clara Inn

On Saturday, 6th July 2019 a truly wonderful occasion celebrating twenty years in business of Pomeroy’s Clara Inn took place in the company of Family, Friends, Staff and Customers at Church Street, Millstreet.  Superb music, a splendid birthday cake,  an excellent address by Ursula Pomeroy, magnificent refreshments, great company and chat – all very much part of an historic night where everyone was accorded a royal welcome.  Here we share some 42 images of a most enjoyable occasion when lots of happy memories were evoked.   Sincere congratulations to Ursula and Family and continuing success in the years ahead.  Click on the pictures to enlarge.  (S.R.) Shane at Centre-Back for Cork in Munster Championship this Evening

The best of luck to Shane Hickey this evening (Friday July 7th 2019), where he will line out at centre-back for Cork in the EirGrid Munster Under 20 Football Semi-Final against Waterford at 7pm in Clonakilty.

Result: Cork 5-23 Waterford 0-7

Millstreet Vintage Club make Presentation to Spinal Injuries Ireland and Breast Cancer Ireland

Millstreet Vintage Club were delighted to Present two Cheques to Andrew O`Sullivan who along with a number of other Cyclists went from Mizen Head to Malin Head for two very worthy causes namely Spinal Injuries Ireland and Breast Cancer Ireland recently,the Cycle was spearheaded by Kildare Man Mark Nugent who suffered life changing Injuries in an Accident back in April 2016 which left him wheelchair-bound,Mark completed the Route with his specially adapted bicycle which he pedaled by hand and was joined by one of his best Friends Mary Fitzgerald who is recovering from breast cancer and had not been on a bike for 35 years before January of this year,the Cycle took 5 days to complete and the Group were welcomed by Millstreet Vintage Club to Dromtariffe Hall where they had Refreshments and an overnight Base with the Vintage Club delighted to be associated with two great Causes and the Club would like to wish the very best of luck to them both for the future.
