Leaving Cert. Result Day 2019 at Millstreet Community School

On Tuesday, 13th August 2019 many Students collected their Leaving Cert. results at Millstreet Community School Pól Ó Síodhcháin, Principal shared the following comments:

“Millstreet Community School students achieved excellent Leaving Certificate Results again this year.  Warmest congratulations to Cian Linehan, who achieved 6 H1 grades and 625 points, the maximum possible.  An outstanding achievement for an outstanding student.

Almost 25% of MCS students achieved over 500 points in their Leaving Certificate this year with 50% of students achieving over 400 points, far in excess of the national averages.  H1 grades were achieved across all subject disciplines and 23% of the LCVP class achieved a Distinction for their work.  All the students worked to their potential and now look forward to the next stage of their lives full of confidence as their time in MCS ends.”

Principal, Pól Ó Síodhcháin, paid tribute to the work ethic of the Class of 2019, saying that their achievements serve as a reminder to all of what commitment to your studies can bring.  The students now confidently await the Round 1 CAO offers which were scheduled to be available on Thursday, 15th August.

We now share a selection of images we recorded on the morning when Students collected their results.  Most of these photos appear also in this week’s “Corkman”.   Click on the pictures to enlarge.  (S.R.)
