Update on Dromtariffe Masses

Dearest Parishioners,

I hope ye are all keeping well & staying safe as we move into another cycle of Covid-19 where no public Masses are allowed.  However, I am going to continue saying a private Mass for the Station Areas as they are listed in the newsletter.  Some have booked Anniversary Masses for family members and these will be said on the appropriate date.  The parish office remains open so contact Evelyn if you have any queries.

Wishing you every blessing & good health.

Fr Tom

P.S. The church is open daily for private prayer or to light a candle.

Magnificent Volunteering Service in Killarney

We thank the kind person who sent us by post a page from the most recent “Kerry’s Eye” newspaper in which a Millstreet gentleman – Joe Looney formerly of Minor Row, Millstreet – features.   Joe’s title in the highly regarded Order of Malta is Captain reflecting his amazing and inspiring dedication over many decades.   Breda Joy‘s excellent feature recognises the superb dedication of Joe and three other Colleagues.   We extend sincere congratulations to all four.   Joe and his sister Geraldine were wonderful childhood pals in our native Minor Row in the 1950s and 1960s.   The Family then moved to Killarney.   Joe and Geraldine and their Parents – Michael and Eilish – lived in the house where Tony O’Brien’s Shop is now situated.  Tap on the images to enlarge.  (S.R.)
