SEASON OF ADVENT
This weekend we begin the season of Advent which is a time of waiting for the great event – the coming of Christ. Pope Francis has described the Advent season as a time of conversion to make space in one’s heart for Christ to come and fill it with joy. Vigilance, he continued, means “paying attention to our neighbor in difficulty and allowing their need to draw us in, without waiting for him or her to ask us for help.” May we continue to be vigilant to the needs of our family members, our neighbours and our community as we journey through these challenging times.
