The organisation nominated to benefit from the proceeds this year is the Canon O’Donovan Centre, (Meals on Wheels Service) Clara Road, Millstreet.

Margaret Crean and Maureen O Sullivan like to thank everyone for the generous donations this year. Twenty six hamper bags were taken to Cork for the homeless. Also food deliveries were taken to Edel House and St Vincent’s as well as families in need.

Former members of the Ritz Showband and ‘Southern Comfort’ – Michael McCarthy and Jerry Larkin have just published a book which leans heavily on a photographic history of a town with a lengthy tradition in all types of music, musicians and bands.
