Joan Gleason (née Callanan), New York & Tullig

Obituary of Hannah (aka Joan) Gleason, passed away November 3, 2020.

Joan was born to John and Hannah Callanan in Tullig in 1928. She made the courageous journey to the United States in her teenage years. She married the late Francis “Frank” Gleason and had three children, John, Michael and Joan. She became a long-time resident of Pompton Lakes and an active member with St. Mary’s RC Church.

Joan was known to have a green thumb and tended to her flower garden with much care. She was deeply passionate about the importance of voting she would continuously volunteer as a poll taker. She loved to be surrounded by her family when she could, especially her grandchildren. Joan had a full life and enjoyed the moments she could. She kept her family and close friends close to her heart.   [read more …] “Joan Gleason (née Callanan), New York & Tullig”
