On this week’s edition of ‘Where the road takes me’, John Greene travels to a quiet peaceful area, just outside of Clonakilty to meet a man who has had anything but a peaceful life.
Apart from doing session work on Crocodile Dundee and on the TV series Baywatch, Stephen Housden has been lead guitarist with the Little River Band for 26 years.
The band have been described as Australia’s most significant band and the first Australian band to crack it in the US. Stephen Housden has been described as the best guitarist in the World.
Although born in the UK and because of health problems, Housden’s parents were advised to take their eight year old son to warmer climates, so Australia seemed like a good choice.
