Speed Irish!
Hi All,
Myself and Clíodhna O’Callaghan are running an event in the Mills Inn, Ballyvourney at 9pm on Friday 13th May known as Speed Irish!
This event is kindly sponsored by Ciste Spreagtha which aims to
encourage the use of Irish in the community after a few difficult years due to the pandemic and encourage community groups inside and outside the Gaeltacht to organise community events again.
The idea behind Speed Irish is like Speed Dating without the dating bit! Each person will have 3mins at a table with an Irish speaker and you will have a conversation AS GAEILGE! When the bell rings you will switch to the next table and get to know the next person and so on and so forth.
All levels of Irish are welcome and even if you have no Irish at all please come along as there will be flash cards of phrases and sayings you can use to engage in conversation.
We will be holding a raffle to raise money for the Linn Snamha Chúil Aodha with loads of fabulous spot prizes! Did I mention a FREE glass of PROSECCO!?
Aonis, scaip an scéal agus tar isteach chuig oíche a bheidh cinnte a mheabhrú!
