“Radio Treasures” from 9.10 to 11.10pm on CMS Tonight

On this Tuesday – 28th June 2022 – preceded by “Jimmy Reidy & Friends” with focus of Co. Limerick beginning at 8pm (the repeat of which one may hear after the Maureen Henry Show on Sunday night) we invite you to also tune into “Radio Treasures” this Tuesday from 9.10 to 11.10pm on Cork Music Station.    Feel very welcome to contact the live programme by emailing corkmusicstation @gmail.com or texting 086 825 0074 – One may also WhatsApp that number.   Tonight’s programme includes lots of uplifting songs, music, musings and requests.  Also:

Walking across Ireland

Meet 72 year old Joyce Dunne Rogers from Roseburg, Oregon whom is walking across Ireland at the moment.  She passed through Millstreet on the 22nd June where Margaret Crean came across her in Town.  After spending the night at Margaret’s home in Dromsicane,  she continued her journey the next morning.

Eily’s Report – 28th June

 

Dia is Mhuire díobh go léir a chairde and welcome to my report.

Some like the rain, some don’t, but we all need it at least the land and the world around us do. It’s when nice warm sunny days turn wet, windy and cold days come that it becomes hard to bear. Warm clothes which were consigned to the shelf for the summer are pulled out again leaving us with over stocked wardrobes, crooks at the back of the bedroom door, or any other place where they can be easily accessed in a moment of chill, or wild shower. It’s a time when winter and summer clothes have to learn to live together. Not something that we like, but have to accept. People coming home from sunny climes, tell us of long hours day in and day out of brilliant sunshine. Little more than flimsy gear to cover their sun-starved bodies as they cash in on their good value break. But we live in hope of an improved July with lots of sun.
