Millstreet Museum Updates – July 2022

Millstreet Museum situated in the Carnegie Hall since its official opening on 17th March 1980 has welcomed quite a number of Visitors in recent weeks including enthusiastic pupils from Millstreet Presentation N.S., international visitors tracing roots and the members of Cork Historical and Archaeological Society.   We wish to express our sincere thanks to Catherine Cronin for her much appreciated superb dedication as Assistant Curator.   No new person has as yet been appointed to this position.   Thus to presently visit the Museum please contact me on millstreetmuseum @gmail.com and I shall arrange to open the Centre.   One may also contact by phone, text or WhatsApp – 086 825 0074.   Here we share images from a variety of  happenings at the Museum including one of the historic items recently presented.  Tap on the pictures to enlarge…..Seán Radley, Curator, Millstreet Museum.

We welcome our own  Gillian Gilbourne (on left) as Millstreet’s new Librarian at Carnegie Hall. Sincere thanks to Nora McSharry who has been our wonderfully dedicated Librarian in Millstreet and we wish her a very Happy Retirement.
