Mallow Credit Union Winter Loans

Mallow Credit Union launch Winter Loan to CU through

It’s beginning to look at lot like…winter! As the nights draw in and we all gear up for the festive season Mallow Credit Union want to make sure people know that the credit union is there should they need a little help covering costs this winter.

Their new Winter Loan is designed with this in mind. Spread the costs of Christmas, bills, fuel, insurance or other winter expenses over 12 months and repay in a flexible, manageable way. Tomás O’Neill, CEO of Mallow Credit Union said, “In the current challenging times, many of us are preoccupied with financial concerns. With prices for fuel, utilities and groceries soaring since the beginning of 2022, households may be feeling under pressure. Some of the biggest price hikes in decades have put enormous strain on household budgets this winter. Our aim in Mallow Credit Union is to give people in North Cork & West Limerick a little breathing space, to spread out the costs of the coming months across the year.” The new Winter Loan is available to all new and existing members. The maximum term on the loan is 12 months and the maximum loan amount is €2,000. This can be your first loan with the credit union or you can apply for this if you currently have a loan. All decisions on loans with Mallow Credit Union are made locally and are based on your ability to repay.

Tomás added, “We would always invite our members to speak with us about their credit options first and not to turn to money lenders or other high interest credit options. We have a dedicated loans team in our branches that will talk you through the application. Alternatively, you can apply for the loan online through our Mallow Credit Union app, where you can submit all supplementary documents.”

It’s been a busy time for Mallow Credit Union, who launched their new Current Account & Debit Card in the summer, enabling them to do even more for their members. Keep an eye out for their  new MYCU Current Account competition to be in with a chance of winning a trip to New York courtesy of Mastercard! To learn more about the new current account and the winter loan visit www.mallowcu.ie or drop into your local branch in Mallow, Millstreet, Buttevant, Charleville and Dromcollogher.
