Macroom Bypass November 2022

A link to the most recent update on the Macroom bypass (captured yesterday 25th) which shows the roundabout constructed at Carrigaphooca as well as the new road signage and the nearly ready road. Its due to be opened Friday 9th by an Taoiseach. The new road will make the Cork journey much easier for many around Millstreet area & also makes Macroom more accessible

BT Young Scientist Project

Our names are Caoimhe O Mahony, Holly Saunders and Rebecca O Sullivan and we are trying to collect data for our BT Young Scientist Project which is titled –
“A statistical analysis into whether modern farming practices are a deterrent to the dung beetle and its ability to positively effect Irish agriculture”.

The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Betty) Murphy (née Corkery) Derren, Millstreet, Cork / Ferrybank, Waterford

Unexpectedly, at the Bons Secours Care Village, Mount Desert, Lee Road, Cork. Predeceased by her husband Denis, parents John & Catherine, sisters Catherine, Ellen Donoghue & Nora. Deeply regretted by her sisters Mary O’Connor & Margaret Leader, brothers Thomas and Bernard, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews family and friends.

Reposing in Tarrant’s Funeral Home Millstreet on Sunday 27th from 4:00pm – 5:30pm. Reception to St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet on Monday 28th for requiem Mass at 11 am, followed by burial in Drishane Cemetery.
