The death has occurred of Jerry Lehane, Derrinamona, Clonbanin, Co. Cork.

Jerry passed away peacefully at his home. Beloved husband of Shelley (née O’Donoghue) and dear dad of Marguerite, Julie and Pacella. Predeceased by his sisters Mary and Bina and his brother John. Jerry will be sadly missed by his sisters Joan and Sheila, grandson Tommy Jeremiah, son in law Stephen, nephews, nieces, sisters in law, brothers in law, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS

Jerry will repose in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Boherbue on Sunday, Nov. 5th, from 5pm to 6.30 pm.  Requiem Mass on Monday at 12 noon will be live streamed on churchservices.tv/boherbue. Funeral afterwards to Killmeen Cemetery. A message for Jerry’s family may be left on the condolence book underneath on the link HERE.

Sliabh Luachra Cycling Club is one of our amazing finalists in the Active Community Group Category 🌟
SLCC was founded in 2012 to promote cycling in a safe environment. The club has over 110 members in total with over 70 adult members and over 40 juveniles 🌟SLCC is an all inclusive club that promotes cycling for all. The club has achieved a positive change in the community by;Providing facilities to keep members fit thus improving their physical and mental health. Teaching road safety which is beneficial to cyclists and all road users. 🙌
The club have developed a CX Track in Knocknagree and are in the process of preparing another track in Millstreet Country park. 🏆This award is to acknowledge a volunteer group of people that campaign to give members of the community the opportunity to participate in locally coordinated physical activity and community sports programmes and opportunities.
Where new members are always welcome to join.

Irish Higher Level Grinds

Irish Higher Level Grinds will continue in Millstreet Parish Hall for the term starting Monday 6th November, 5th year at 4:15pm & 6th year at 5:30. A class for 3rd year students may be considered if there’s demand.

Classes taught by an experienced native Irish teacher and are aimed at helping eager students wanting to attain top results in their exams. Excellent typed notes on all areas of the course provided as well as exam questions studied and answered. Emphasis on oral and aural also.

Acknowledgement & First Anniversary – 5th November

On the first anniversary of John’s death, we, his family, wish to express our gratitude for the kindness & support shown to us.

We wish the acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy, Mass cards & touching condolences on R.I.P. from relatives, friends, neighbours and past pupils. 

We thank those who gathered at the church, particularly staff, both past and present, from Scoil Phobail Sliabh Luachra, Rathmore, who organised and took part in the Guard of Honour.

Thanks to Dr. Michael Casey and John’s kind caring neighbours – especially Michael & Margaret Mullane. 

 Thanks to Sharon at the Parish Office for arranging prayers & Mass booklet, sacristan Julie, soloist Jerry Doody & organist Hannah Mary Tarrant.

A special thank you to Fr. Pat O’Donnell, Rathmore, who celebrated John’s Funeral Mass & spoke so eloquently of him.
