(Denis Long’s Family lived in Minor Row, Millstreet up to the late 1940s before residing in Cork.   The location of the family Grocery Shop and Home is where Master Butcher, Tony O’Brien’s Shop is now situated.   We were greatly privileged to meet with Denis (in his 90s) when, accompanied by his son, Frank and his daughters, Anne and Margaret, he paid a visit during this Summer of 2023 to Drishane Cemetery where his father, Jeremiah, is buried.   We shall soon be sharing more very interesting information about this True Gentleman who always expressed his great love of Millstreet and Kilmacrane in the Kilcorney area.   Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.  (S.R.))
