Gerard Murphy, New Street, Newmarket

The death has occurred of Gerard Murphy, New Street, Newmarket, Co. Cork.

Murphy, New Street, Newmarket. On April 15th 2024, at the Bon Secours Hospital, Cork, Gerard, (MCC and former TD) beloved husband of Marian and dear dad of Trish and Donncha and adored grandad of Ethan and Mya. Deeply mourned by his loving wife, daughter, son, son-in-law Michael, brothers and sisters Martin, Ted, Sr Margaret, Joe and Jane (O’Neill), brothers-in-law Pat and Tom, sisters-in-law Mary, Nora and Teeny, nephews, nieces, colleagues, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May He Rest in Peace.

Reposing at O’Reilly’s Funeral Home, Newmarket on Thursday evening from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Reception into St. Mary’s Church on Friday for 12 noon Requiem Mass, which will be livestreamed on Newmarket and Taur Parish Facebook page. Funeral afterwards to Clonfert cemetery.
