Monday (8/7/2024) was newly appointed Transport & Communications Minister of State James Lawless first official visit anywhere and he was in Millstreet and Macroom in the morning. He had chance to discuss train service locally with Station Master Michael Mullane and local TD Aindrias Moynihan and see first hand the way the trains service is in use. Millstreet Library – Anyone 4 Science Workshop

Today in Millstreet Library, young scientists, explored the magic of Roald Dahl’s “The BFG” through a science workshop hosted by Cian from Anyone 4 Science.  The children created dream jar lava lamps using oil, water, food colouring and fizzing tablets.  The vibrant, floating bubbles captured the essence of dreams coming to life, blending literature and science into an enchanting, hands-on experience.  Here is a photo of the children with their magical creations.
