Denis O’Brien, Ballydaly and Cloughoulabeg
It is with deep sadness we announce the death of our dear Uncle Denis on October 8th 2024, peacefully in the presence of his family in Millstreet Community Hospital. Son of the late Denis and Winifred O’Brien.
Predeceased by his wife Ann, loving brothers Ben, Billy, John, Con, Donie, nephews Seanie and Denis and his recently deceased sister Margaret Murphy .
Lovingly remembered by his nieces Rita, Maria, Kathleen, Una, Patsy, Anna and Janice, nephews Padraig, Denis, Neil, Brian, Benny, Denis, John, Niall and Aidan, sisters in law Noreen and Nell, grand nieces and grand nephews, great grand nieces and great grand nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing in St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet, on Thursday 10th October from 6 pm to 7 pm. Denis’ funeral cortege will leave Cloughoulabeg at 10 am on Friday 11th for Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Drishane Cemetery, Millstreet. Funeral Mass will be live-streamed on http://www.churchservices.tv/millstreet

Well done to the Millstreet U13 Camogie Team
On Sunday last Millstreet U13 camogie team won the Avondhu U13 league after a tough battle with Kildorrery.

Derry Horgan, Millstreet and Manchester
Derry Horgan late of Millstreet and Manchester.
Derry was son of the late Tom and Sheila Horgan and lived in Killarney Road, Millstreet. Predeceased by his sister Margaret and brother Tommy. Educated in the local primary school, and in Coláiste Pádraig from 1958 – 1963. Having completed a B. Comm. in UCC in 1966, he went to the UK and worked in the private sector. He had great affinity with Millstreet and visited every year and renewed old acquaintances. He became unwell just before Covid and had lingered on until he passed away peacefully on Tuesday last, 8th Oct. 2024. He is survived by wife Joan and son Patrick.
