Millstreet Community Calendar 2025

Have you got that special photograph that you would like to be considered for the Millstreet Community Calendar 2025? Perhaps it is of the Northern Lights, a victory celebration in the community or your favourite scene?  If so, Millstreet Community Council Ltd. is inviting individuals, groups & organisations to share those photos.

Please email your photograph with your name and the title/caption of your photograph to millstreetcommunitycouncil20 @gmail.com before Thursday October 31st, 2024.  All photographs will be considered. (For printing purposes, the photographs must be of a high resolution).

The Calendars will be printed & made available to purchase locally from November 2024.

The death has occurred of Charles Cooper, Claraghatlea, Millstreet, Co. Cork / Kenmare, Co. Kerry.

The death has taken place of Charles Cooper, Claraghatlea, Millstreet, Co. Cork and late of Letter, Kenmare, Co. Kerry. Passed away peacefully on October 13th 2024, in the exceptional care of Mercy University Hospital, Cork. Beloved husband of Nell (née Murray) and loving father of Cathal, Tommy, John, Brian and Brendan. Sadly missed by his loving family, daughters-in-law Rosanna, Anita, Therina and Louise, adored granddaughters Caragh, Ada and Sadie and grandson Charlie, sisters Kathleen Twomey and Margaret Connolly, brother-in-law Moss Twomey. Lovingly remembered by his extended family, nieces, nephews, wonderful neighbours and a wide circle of friends. Predeceased by his sister Mary, brothers Finn and Tim, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law

Reposing at Tarrant’s Funeral Home, Millstreet on Tuesday, 15th  October, from 6pm to 7.30pm. Reception into St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet for Requiem Mass on Wednesday, 16th of October, at 11am, followed by burial in St Mary’s Cemetery, Millstreet.

The death has occurred of Mary Coghlan (née Buckley), Ballyvaheen, Churchtown, Co. Cork / Millstreet, Co. Cork.

Mary Coghlan (née Buckley), Ballyvaheen, Churchtown, Mallow and late of Kippagh Millstreet).  Mary passed away, peacefully, at Ballyagran Nursing Home.  Beloved wife of the late John and dear sister of Frances O’Brien and the late Abina (Bunnie), Margaret, Michael, Con (Connie) and late sister-in-law Catherine.

Sadly missed by her loving family, brother-in-law Pat, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in O’Keeffe Funeral Home, Bank Place, Buttevant on Sunday from 6pm to 7pm followed by reception into St. Nicholas Church, Churchtown.   Requiem Mass on Monday at 2pm.   Funeral afterwards to St. Brigid’s Cemetery.   Condolence link is here.
