This year’s Stretcher Race was in aid of Luke O’Donoghue pictured with family, friends and staff of the Bush Bar, Millstreet.  Luke will represent Ireland in the World Fly Fishing Championships..

Today: The Annual Fancy Dress Stretcher Race

The Bush Bar hosts the Annual Charity Stretcher Race this June 3rd. It is in aid of the Ian O’Connell Trust Fund and the Fight For Fionn.

Fionn Barry has spent most of his short life suffering and in hospital yet despite this he is still fighting for answers. He was diagnosed at 6 months with infantile spasms which has evolved into a seriously debilitating and Life limiting illness and needs 24 hour care.

16-year-old Ian O’Connell fell from his bike in Killarney National Park, sustaining damage to his neck and spine. The popular young sportsman is undergoing occupational therapy and physiotherapy at the rehabilitation centre in Dún Laoghaire.  A trust set up to help a Killarney teenager who sustained a life-changing injury last August.  [read more …] “Today: The Annual Fancy Dress Stretcher Race”

Fundraising for Volunteer Work in India

I will be volunteering In India for 10 weeks in total starting March 26th in the Himalayas for 4 weeks consisting of teaching, child care and women empowerment,  with 2 weeks being spent at a wildlife rescue and conservation area near New Delhi and then another 4 weeks in Kochi (Southern India).

Millstreet’s Got Talent – Tonight in the Bush Bar

Tonight’s heat of Millstreet’s Got Talent takes place at the Bush Bar starting at 9:30pm. Following that, The Kickers who hail from the Clondrohid area are playing a return gig in The Bush Bar at 10:30pm. A great night guaranteed, everyone welcome!
Tomorrow Saturday’s Millstreet’s Got Talent Qualifier takes place in the Clara Inn.

Millstreet GAA Players Fundraising Race Night in The Bush Bar

On Friday night last 17th November 2017 Millstreet GAA Players held a fundraising Race Night in conjunction with the Bush Bar. This was a very successful event and enjoyed by all. This function was well supported, and it was great to see so many players in attendance.
The organising committee would like to thank everyone that sponsored this event and helped in anyway in making it a successful night. A special thank you to Connie Hickey, Kelly Cronin, and Sheila Barrett for all their help and support.
