Remembering the late Pat Lacey of Yonkers, New York & Millstreet

The death occurred recently of Pat Lacey, Yonkers, New York and formerly of 21 Murphy’s Tce, Millstreet.  He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Mairéad nee O’Sullivan, Lisnaboy, Cullen, his sons Billy, Timmy & Kenny, daughters-in-law, Allison, Christine & Sarah & doted grand children, his sister Kathleen, the O’Sullivan family, kind neighbours and friends.

There will be a Month’s Mind Mass in the Church of the Nativity, Cullen on Monday March 6th  @ 7.30pm.

Celebrating Paddy Mahony’s 97th Birthday in Cullen

Cullen Community Centre 45 Drive celebrate the 97th birthday of a dear and wonderful friend Paddy Mahony.  And doesn’t he look so very  well!   A very Happy Birthday,  Paddy.  We thank William Fitzgerald for the truly uplifting photograph of the special occasion.  (S.R.)

Pádraig Ó hIceadha Plaque To Be Unveiled This Saturday at 8pm in Cullen

A Pádraig Ó hIceadha Plaque will be unveiled at Cullen Community Centre this Saturday evening at 8 in Cullen.  Renowned Poet, Bernard O’Donoghue of Cullen & Oxford will perform the unveiling to honour this superb gentleman – Pádraig – whose great love of Cuilinn Uí Chaoimh and the promotion of true Irish Culture and Heritage was universally recognised.  Everyone is very welcome to this historic unveiling this Saturday, 23rd July 2016 at 8pm in Cullen.  We thank Brenda O’Sullivan for alerting us to this very important occasion.  (S.R.)

Uplifting Success of LTV2 Millstreet Church Gate Collection 2016

We wish to express sincere thanks to the many generous people who very kindly supported our annual LTV2 Millstreet church gate collection in Millstreet, Ballydaly and Cullen. The €2,100 (approx. - final figure to be confirmed later) contributed will help to fund batteries for cameras, purchase of discs, video recording tapes for cameras and the placement of our regular programmes on the Millstreet website making transmissions available worldwide. What a truly tremendous success was experienced at Cullen Community Centre on Easter Monday 2015 when a capacity audience of Table Quiz enthusiasts assembled in Cullen Community Centre for the Monster GAA Table Quiz on behalf of the Friends of Jamie Wall Fund.
