The down turn in the weather over the weekend did much to spoil a lot of carefully planned events. The residents of Drishane put many hours of planning into their first ever Garden Fete. It was going to be a gala outdoor presentation with fun and games and food and music and crafts of many countries on the list but alas the continuous rains forced the entire programme to be held indoors. However not to be outdone the organisers still forged ahead and put on the best show they could.
In the dining area there was a wide variety of foods representing many lands ,Pakistan, Lithuania , South Africa ,to name but a few. And the people were there to serve the food,say what it contained , and tell a little about from where it came.
