Students from Millstreet Community School arrived in Halloween style at The Square, Millstreet on Friday, 27th Oct. 2023 just after 12 noon. With the cooperation of the Gardaí, the sound of very lively dance music appropriate to the season, the guidance of the MCS Principal and Staff Members and the presence of an enthusiastic audience, we were treated to an amazing four-minute “Dance Mob” performance – the first ever perhaps in Millstreet! While it was dry during the dance routine the rain arrived at the conclusion of this superb happening….and the traffic began to smoothly flow again! Teachers Chris Horan, Kevin O’Neill and I recorded the historical occasion from the upstairs windows of Millstreet Credit Union and we thank Ger and Mary for the very kind permission granted to capture the very colourful scene from such a wonderfully panoramic setting.
