Cork’s nine year wait for a Munster Minor Hurling Championship final appearance is over as they produced a hugely impressive performance to down the reigning champions Tipperary in this evening’s semi-final replay on a scoreline of 2-22 to 2-19. Starring at corner back (#2) was Conor O’Callaghan from Kilcorney, who plays his hurling with Keale Gaels (Dromtarriffe & Millstreet).
In the first game Conor came in for special mention for an excellent display at corner back, and similarly in the replay: “Conor O’Callaghan again impressive”. The final is on next Sunday in Thurles at 2pm and precedes the Senior final in which Mark Ellis will most likely be playing also.
