Firstly I would like to assure everyone that Millstreet Hospital will continue to play a vital part in our community. The hospital is very much part of our Capital Investment Plan and it will improve and extend the Hospital. The funding we secured of €5.75 million to invest in the facilities of the hospital confirms this.
The funds are going to towards a much needed extension to the hospital, which will improve the facilities including the respite care beds. But with all renovations, there will be distributions and this will impact on the respite care beds and any patients needing respite care will be accommodated in nearby community hospitals and nursing homes to cause as little disruption to patients and their families as possible. Refurbished Millstreet Museum to be Officially Opened & Carnegie Centenary Celebrated on Wednesday 14th October 2015 at 7pm
Millstreet Museum will be officially opened following refurbishment on Wednesday, 14th October 2015 at 7.00 p.m.. The Carnegie Centenary Plaque will also be celebrated and a number of presentations will take place. An historic medal will be officially presented to the Museum and focus will be placed on the historic treasures already on display. Fuller details of the historic occasion will follow later. Everyone is very welcome to this special event at which we expect the Mayor of Cork County to be present. (S.R.)

On 25th May, 2015, suddenly at St. Mary’s Convent, Brentford, Middlesex, Sr. Ann Margaret O’Connor of Millstreet and Brentford, Middlesex, England.
Deeply mourned and sadly missed by her loving family, the Sisters of the congregation of the Poor Servants of the Mother of God, relatives and friends.
Remembrance Mass at St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet on Monday 8th June at 7.30p.m.
Funeral will take place in Brentford, Middlesex.
