Paddy’s Superb Music Presentation with Cork Focus

On Friday, 20th Oct. 2023 Paddy Murphy from Tullig, Millstreet presented a truly magnificent programme of songs and music with a total focus on Cork at the October meeting of Millstreet Gramophone Circle in the wonderfully comfortable setting of the Canon O’Donovan Day Centre at Clara Road.  It was Con Kelleher from Clogoulabeg who brilliantly delivered the official thanks to Paddy for such an interesting and most enjoyable Presentation.  Two of my own Cork favourites included in Paddy’s programme were Jack Doyle with Movita singing “Speak to me of Love” and Bess Cronin singing “Down by the Groves of Tullig” – two splendid rare recordings.   Our November Presentation takes place on Friday, 17th at 8.15pm when our Presenter will be Tim Murphy, Boherbue.  Tap on the images to enlarge.  (S.R.)
