Magnificent Sunset Views from Clara Mountain

We thank Samantha Kay Sobotker Meyer for this wonderful selection of images which she recently photographed on an IRD Duhallow-led walk up Clara Mountain on Wednesday evening, 6th September 2023, with Alannah.  The pictures of the sunset were recorded at Clara Mountain’s summit.  (S.R.)

Prayer of Protection Against Coronavirus COVID-19

We thank Pat Breen for the following wonderfully meaningful

Prayer of Protection Against Coronavirus COVID-19

Lord Jesus Christ, You travelled through towns and villages curing every disease and illness.  At your command, the sick were made well.  Come to our aid now, in the midst of the global spread of the Coronavirus, that we may experience Your healing love.

Heal those who are sick with the virus.  May they regain their strength and health through quality medical care.

Heal us from our fear which prevents nations working together and neighbours from helping one another.

Appearing briefly to the west of Millstreet on Wednesday evening (19th Sept. 2018) we captured this truly magical sunset over Killarney Road as Ireland is relieved that Storm Ali is now passed on. Note the exquisite rays and the silver lining of the clouds to the left. Click on the image to enlarge. (S.R.)

A Red Sky at Night

A Red Sky at Night - by Geraldine Dennehy
We’ve been blessed with this week’s fine spell which has lots of opportunity for taking nice photos of the world around us. Especially the skies this week, with the various moons and this one from Geraldine Dennehy entitled “A Red Sky at Night”, is of the bright red susets we are getting every evening now, which would be nice even if we said it was from the Serengeti. Long may it last … until Sunday that is !
