Responsibilities include the following:

  • Move, pick, and load all food types and non-food products for customer orders.
  • Ensure stock is received, stored, packed, and transported according to the highest standards.
  • Work in both ambient and temperature-controlled environments .
  • Keep the warehouse clear and ensure any potential hazards are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
  • Maintain the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse .
  • Always maintain strict food safety and health and safety standards.
  • Stock control of individual racks.
  • Ability to follow SOPS.
  • Warehouse cleaning to adhere to BRC quality standard.

Essential Criteria

  • Forklift / Counterbalance Licence (desirable but not essential).
  • Power Pallet Truck Certification (desirable but not essential).
  • Manual handling cert (desirable but not essential).

Nora Dineen, Carrigacooleen, Millstreet

The death has occurred of Nora Dineen, Carrigacooleen, Millstreet, Co. Cork.

On 8th June 2024, peacefully, in the presence of her loving family and the wonderful care of the staff of Araglen Nursing Home, Boherbue.

Predeceased by her parents Timothy and Mary, her brother Paddy and sister Mary.

Nora will be sadly missed by brothers Jerry, Dan and Tim, sisters, Margaret and Sheila, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, friends and neighbours.

May She Rest in Peace.

Reposing in St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet on Tuesday from 6pm to 7.30pm.
Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11am followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery Millstreet.

Country Music Promoter Vincent Murray joins Cork Music Station

Country Music Promoter Vincent Murray is joining Cork Music Station with a new weekly slot on a Sunday Evening with it starting this Sunday between 8pm and 10pm,Vincent who is originally from Mayo but now resides in Ashford Co.Limerick is well known in the Country Music Scene as a promoter of Gigs in many Venues including the former Ashford Tavern and Duhallow Lodge Hotel,the Edel Quin Hall in Kanturk, the Vienna Woods Hotel and the Woodlands Hotel in Adare amongst others,Vincent has Millstreet links in the form of being married to Betty O`Riordan who hails from Ballydaly.

Vincent Murray brings a lot of Musical experience to Cork Music Station and we welcome him aboard so why not tune in this Sunday Evening on Cork Music Station from 8pm which can be found on www.corkmusicstation.com

The Millstreet Vintage Club  Cars & Coffee plus Tractors and Tea Event at the Castle is almost upon us and it’s all happening on this Sunday June 9th in the Beautiful Grounds of Drishane Castle Millstreet from 10.30am to 2pm,the Event is in aid of Critical Blackwater CFR Group.

The General Public are most welcome to the Event down in the beautiful grounds of Drishane on what has the makings of a great day out.

We are delighted to say we received a much better result for our second judging period!

A huge thank you to all businesses and locals that have helped keep town in tip top shape these past few weeks. As always, we’d be nothing without our wonderful volunteers.

We have a weekly clean up every Tuesday @ 7pm, meeting at the Square. please do join if you can.

The death has occurred of William (Billy) Rea, 47 Murphy’s Terrace, Millstreet, Co. Cork.

Aged 80 years, died peacefully on Thursday 06th June 2024 at Millstreet Community Hospital, surrounded by his wife and family, predeceased by his parents Nora and Jer and his sister Kathleen and brother-in-law Connie Kelleher.

Willie will be sadly missed by his wife Margaret and children Valerie, Denis, Susan, Marguerite, Rosemary and Kathy, their spouses and partners Pat, Bernie, Tony, Mike, Donal and Adrian. Loving grandfather to Aoife, Mark, Adam, Katie, Ava and Saoirse. Will be fondly remembered by his nephews Alan and Francis, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Millstreet Meals on Wheels Service

The Millstreet Meals on Wheels service is available for the elderly & isolated in the Millstreet catchment area. All food is prepared in Millstreet Day Centre & we operate the service 5 days a week. You can order a hot dinner for as many days as you like, delivered to your door from Mon-Fri for just €6 a day for the main meal & €2 for dessert.

 A variety of meals are served throughout the week and the staff will endeavour to facilitate individual tastes when preparing meals. Coeliac dinners & desserts available also. Please see our menu for next week below.
