On that night there will be prizes for both men and women  who lost the most weight. And for those who brought in the most sponsorship money. Cheques from the proceeds will be presented to various charities involved in the support of Special Needs Organisations.  Refreshments will then be served and the curtains will come down on the 36th year of the Cullen Special Needs association’s annual Weigh-In. Well done to all involved.

A brilliant show was held at the James OKeeffe Institute during the week.  There was dinner at 1pm followed by a film entitled Diffuse the Bomb (I Think). Many people were put off by the name, but I’m glad that Sean Radley and I were not.  It was  an hour long documentery about the troubles in the North in the 70s and how a man from Rockchapel brought it to the notice of the President of America with outstanding results.

Jack Roche informed us that  it will be shown again and next time do not be put off by the name.
