This is the year 2017, and it marks the centenary of the third apparition of Our Blessed Lady of Fatima, and in honour of this important occasion, many religious events are taking place all over the country. On this Thursday night, July 13th the Holy Rosary will be recited at Aubane Social Centre, at 7.30 and will continue to be said there on the Thursday night, of every month though out the year.
In Gneeveguilla Church a healing Mass by Fr. John Keane will be said on this Thursday night July 13th, starting at 7.30, again in honour of Our Lady of Fatima. Please give them your best support.
The Cullen and District Special Needs Association will hold their annual Harvest Afternoon on Sunday July 23rd. Helpers always welcome . Please give them your best support.
Well done to the 127 people who gave blood when the Blood Donor clinic came to the GAA Hall recently.
A very important meeting will be held at the Wallis Arms hotel tonight July 11th to plan the opening ceremory of the FEI European Eventing Championships which will be held at the Green Glens/Drishane Complex from July 17th -23rd. Please be on the look out for details of the program and be ready to give a rousing Millstreet Welcome to more than 16 foreign countries who are coming to take part.
Once again a colourful Parade through the town is on the cards, like last year.
Posters will be on display around the town and please pass the word to all and sundry so that the visitors will return to their own countries ,to tell of the great place that Millstreet is.
Please keep our town and approach roads clean and litter free, and householders are asked to have their places newly painted and looking bright and cheerful, at all times.
