We thank Margaret and John Kelleher of Mount Leader, Millstreet for sharing with us a wonderful historic image of the Tóstal in Millstreet c.1957 where a very large number of Pipe Bands visited Millstreet on the occasion. I was six years old and can recall the huge excitement there was throughout the town and of course the splendid musical sound of the various Bands. Our image from a Ballybunion publication shows the Ballybunion Pipe Band pictured at The Square, Millstreet. Please note Tom Radley’s Forge with the wheel against the front wall.
