Rescheduled “Radio Treasures” on Cork Music Station Thursday from 9:00 to 11:00pm

Due to the fact that Broadband Coverage was not available in our Millstreet Studio last night (Tuesday) we were not able to broadcast “Radio Treasures” as scheduled.  William Fitzgerald kindly transmitted his own Thursday Show instead.   Consequently “Radio Treasures” will this week be broadcast this Thursday (25th Jan. 2018) from 9 to 11pm (an extra half-hour bonus!)…Seán R.

Tomorrow (Thursday, 25th Jan. 2018)….We feature the very best of music and song  and we have a selection of musings of a wide and interesting variety.  We reflect on last Friday’s Millstreet Gramophone Circle and on Sunday’s Vintage Event.  We talk about Killarney House which has recently been superbly renovated.

It was Eithne O’Keeffe of Boherbue (holding CD) who superbly presented her musical programme at Millstreet Gramophone Circle on Friday night. Click on the images to enlarge. (S.R.)

We continue out musical tour to such places as Portugal, Italy, New Zealand, England, America, Medjugorje to mention but some interesting locations we visit musically.   We also feature interviews with “Winny” of “Mrs. Brown’s Boys“.  We listen to wonderful music from Lisselton and there’s more – much more!

At 10pm we continue to share the Years of the “8” when we hear about what happened in 1978, 1988, 1998 and 2008.

And we especially remember those who have recently gone to their Eternal Reward.   In particular we recall the very special occasion at Buttevant Church in May 2017 when the late Marie Collins was present with her Family and Friends to witness the CD launch of the Shandrum Céilí Band with which Marie’s Family is closely linked.  At dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.  Many images of that very memorable occasion may be viewed on:    http://www.millstreet.ie/blog/2017/05/09/shandrum-ceili-band-cd-launch-on-radio-treasures-tonight

Do join us ….Feel welcome to text the programme on 00353 86 825 0074 (from overseas) or 086 825 0074 (from within Ireland).   Or better still use the chatline on the Seán Radley Facebook Page.  To access the programme find us on Internet Radio under Ireland/Country or log into www.corkmusicstation.com

We also repeat our information about the image below “The Sleeping St. Joseph” and how important this is to the present Pope Francis.   (S.R.)

    1. Con – Thank you so much for such uplifting words. It was a very real privilege on Tuesday night to have the energy to broadcast “Radio Treasures”. The many messages of goodwill received were humbling and wonderfully encouraging. To the many superb people who have been so wonderfully supportive during my chemo/radium treatment, my fortnight in hospital and my present road to recovery – a million heartfelt thanks. Míle buíochas.

  1. Hi Sean,

Wishing you the best for the new Year and hope you recover. Its great to see you still active.

    Happy new year,

    John Murphy and Family, Tullamore.

  2. For those who did not get an opportunity to tune into our Radio Show last night we reveal the relevance of the “Sleeping St. Joseph” statue. It is believed that Pope Francis writes all the significant concerns and worries he encounters in any one day and then places that list under the statue. The “Sleeping St. Joseph” then takes care of such concerns and worries and inspires solutions. My sincere thanks to Breda in Tralee for presenting such a precious item to us for display in either our home or at Millstreet Museum.
