We thank Presenter, John Greene, for the following advance information regarding this week’s “Where the Road Takes Me” on C103 from 7 this evening (S.R.):
He is regularly referred to as ‘Nathan Carter’s younger brother’, but Jake is a different model of the Carter family. While proud to be Nathan’s sibling, this young man is determined to be different – so you won’t see any waistcoats or accordions on stage, and you won’t hear ‘Wagon Wheel’ or the Wild Rover.
He cites the likes of ‘McFly’, ‘Busted’, ‘Rascal Flats’ and ‘Hunter Hayes’ as being heavy influences on his fledgling career so far. He is after all only eighteen years of age.
This week on Where the road takes me, he speaks to John Greene about the Irish influence, his song-writing and growing up in Liverpool. While Country and Irish was part of his stage show during his early teens around the pubs and clubs of the UK, it’s something he wishes to shelve for the moment.
Shortly he begins his debut Irish tour and also dips his toes in an acting career, playing the part of Alladin in Belfast.
Jake Carter, younger brother of Nathan, chats to John Greene and performs ‘live’ on Where the road takes me, this Sunday evening at 7pm on C103.
