Sad news out of Duhallow for to read of today
Paul Fitzgerald of Banteer from life has passed away
On his ninety first year he breathed his last
On looking back the Seasons time seems to go fast
As human life goes the honorable man
Of time was granted quite a lengthy span
He worked with Stephen Jones in their chainsaw shop in Rathcooole years ago
Perhaps some three decades or more maybe so
In the united States Air Force in his physical prime
But eventually we all become victims of time
One quite kind and an honorable man indeed
And of more of his sort the Human World is in need
In life quite a good person of him one can say
By Cashman’s Hill in St Mary’s in Millstreet his last remains lay.
