The Christmas spirit is beginning to liven up. The Christmas Market was a wonderful success at the GAA Hall on Sunday and the proceeds will go to the Christmas lighting in the Town. Already the customary tree is up in the town Square and the popular Teddy Bear is all aglow beside it. And there’s much more to follow.
And there’s a vast number of events listed to keep us on our toes until Santa comes. Our Millstreet Got Talent Fest, is proving very popular and doing a lot to brighten the scene. Next bout will be at the Bush Bar on Friday Night December. 1st. followed by the Clara Inn on Saturday night December 2nd. The finals will be held at the Wallis Arms Hotel in the New Year.
Tonight all are invited to the Parish Centre for the Work Shop on Holy Wells given by Dr. Richard Scriven of UCC. Starting at 8.
Sergeant Paul Lynch attended the November Community Council Meeting and he gave a detailed account of our crime and security situation and the steps that people should be taking in the interest of their safety. Adding that an important meeting of business people from Ballydaly, Rathmore, Boherbue, etc. will be held in Boherbue tonight starting at 7pm.
Further meeting are also planned for the near future so be on the lookout for them.
The Community Council would like to remind the public that it’s time to renew the membership of Community Alert scheme. It can be done by calling to our Wordsworth Book shop, where the forms can be sighed and the annual fee of €10 paid. Please remind your friends about this very important service which is provided by our Garda Síochána. Closing date December 16th.

The Duhallow Choral Society will present a gala Christmas Concert in our Parish Church on Friday December 8th ,

The Parents Association, of our Primary schools would like to thank all those who supported their recent church gate collection.
A one-day pop Up sale will be held in aid of the Pancreatic Research at the Mercy hospital, It will be held near the Aroma Café on December 2nd from 10am to 5pm. All sorts of bargains to be had plus raffles and lots more. Please support it well.
The Cullen Special Needs Association will hold 37th their annual Mass and Party at their Community Centre on Saturday December 2nd Starting at 1pm.
Local Calendars for 2018 Organised by the Community Council are on sale at many outlets at €5 each. Proceeds to the local Church Choir.
National School Calendars also on sale.
The annual Women’s Christmas party will be held at the Wallis Arms hotel on Jan 6th. Tickets at €25 each are on sale at the Hotel. Buy now to avoid disappointment. Music by the popular Kelt.

Vouchers can be got for many things, from petrol to coal, to beauty items, books, the list goes on and on and one for all vouchers at our Post Office. Our Shops need us and we need them, so please lets support each other.
